Jason (also known as Dag) has been tattooing for fourteen years. He started practicing (i.e. fuckin' up) on his friends and family at age seventeen. His work progressed quickly and, after some years of "scratching," he caught the eye of a professional tattoo artist. Dave Reisner decided to give Dag a chance and started him on a grueling apprenticeship in Odessa, TX. "I owe my start in this industry to Dave. He gave me a chance when no one else would and taught me a lot more than just tattooing. I have much love, appreciation, and respect for Dave."
Jason left Odessa for an opportunity to tattoo on Sixth Street in Austin, TX. Here he excelled in custom tattoos, color work and "New School" tattoo designs. From there he spent some time increasing his skills in black and gray work and cover ups. " I did my first cover up working for Dave and there was just something about taking a shitty tattoo and making it look better. Most artist don't like doing cover ups, but to me it's a challenge. Having someone come in with a tattoo they don't like or that's just plain ugly, and then leave with a really nice tattoo and a smile on their face is very rewarding."
In 2002, he came to College Station and has been tattooing and piercing the Aggie community ever since.
